The manager, Ilsabet, is an extraordinary hostess. One feels that you are guests in her home and she goes out of her way to be friendly and attend to your needs. From arrival we felt so welcome. Our room was beautifully appointed with every need catered for. The breakfast deserves special comment: the buffet has a tempting range including some unusual treats and there is also a cooked breakfast. We will definitely stay there again.

The staff at Coopmanhuijs cannot do enough to try to make your stay as wonderful as possible. The breakfast is wonderful - a different offering each morning and all delicious. The hotel is beautiful with a great in town location. A real find.

The Hotel is beautiful, comfortable and relaxed. Very clean and well ventiated.

-Lack of some tv Channels: sabc -No dinner served at the hotel but no arrangements made with nearby Restaurants to cater for visitors and get paid by the hotel when the visitor/employer settles account.This arrangement can also be facilitated to offer menu's at the hotel to choose which restaurant to visit or order from the hotel room.

We absolutely loved our stay at Coopmanshuijs. It is a fabulous place to stay. Warm, friendly, atmosphere and beautiful decor. The service was impeccable and the breakfast tasty and well presented.

No secure parking on the same premises as the hotel.

Great location but yet very comfortable with well appointed rooms and quiet. Will stay again and spend longer.

perfect location, right in the hart off the pitoresc place of Stellenbosch, the bed was supurb, the accomodation state fo the art. the people very very helpfull. A highly recommendat place to stay.

Central location in lovely heritage building.

Car parking is an issue at this hotel. Our car was removed from secure parking without our permission and left on the street in front of the hotel. Our car received a parking ticket and we were informed by hotel management that we did not require to pay the fine! Management's attitude to guests changed significantly after this incident and we were left feeling that we were in the wrong for challenging why our car had been removed and left on the street which had parking restrictions. This hotel should be honest and inform guests on arrival that secure parking cannot be guaranteed (we had requested parking space on reservation form).

Room was located with windows overlooking the terrace and little swimming pool.

Few hotels in SA are nicer than my home - Coopmanhuijs exceeds expectation. The staff are superb, the rooms although small are exceptionally comfortable and clean. The breakfasts are worth delaying business meetings for. The understated elegance and welcome and peaceful atmosphere make this my favourite hotel in SA!

The staff were, without exception, warm, welcoming, helpful and fun to be around. The hotel itself was lovely; cozy living room area with fireplace, elegant rooms, very nice eating area for breakfast. The breakfasts were amazing; buffet including fruits, nuts, various cakes and pastries made by the chef and a hot breakfast if desired. It was in the middle of town so we could walk to shops and restaurants. In addition, the many vineyards were an easy drive away for wine/cheese tastings.
